Forthcoming book (U.S.): Long Shadows (Warriors: Power of Three book 5)

Long Shadows (Warriors: Power of Three book 5) by Erin Hunter will be released on November 25, 2008 in the U.S.

Description: The Clans are in turmoil. ShadowClan has turned its back on StarClan and pledged to follow the dark predictions of Sol, the strange cat who foretold the solar eclipse. But not all the cats have lost faith in their warrior ancestors. . . . Jaypaw is convinced that StarClan still holds an important place in the warrior code, and his search for answers leads him far back into the past, farther back than even StarClan can remember. Lionblaze, tortured by violent dreams and bloody visions, wishes he had never been prophesied to be one of the three but to turn his back on his littermates would be the ultimate betrayal. And Hollyleaf is terrified that once the Clans lose their faith, the warrior code will fall apart. She's willing to fight tooth and nail to preserve it - whatever the cost. And when murder stalks into the heart of ThunderClan, the cats realize that the darkest shadows don't always lie outside the territory.

When I was reading Eclipse I kept thinking 'wow Blackstar is really stupid'. Now I still think he's a little slow but I keep thinking about what Sol said more now, and it's made me think more and more that Hollyleaf is going to be the 'evil' one. She could be trying to preserve the warrior code and maybe go to a bit drastic messures... I don't know... speculations...

hi Clovertail here on my school account. I agree Rainripple Blackstar was being pretty stupid. I know Hollyleaf is going to be the killer, and all this time she's led me to believe that she's so "innocent". i still want to find out who set Brambleclaw up in Sunset... I think it's Ashfur.

I have spoilers! There are a lot of twists and turns in Long Shadows. It's exceedingly exciting and brilliant and wonderful. I can't wait for everyone to be able to read it.

I got to read the spoilers because I searched "Ashfur" in Amazon and clicked on the respective pages around the 280-300ish area. You have to sign in to be able to do this, though.

Warriors fans are going to LOVE Long Shadows.
